We introduce the world's first, truly practical, range of electric cars - The Elettrica Li554 and La253 - Electric transport has never been so good.

Verteci has been supplying electrically powered vehicles to customers requiring reliable practical economical transport in the UK and Ireland for many years. Now we have added the Elettrica range to our portfolio. Two compact, mass produced, electric cars ideally suited to short to medium length journeys both within towns and cities and between neighboring conurbations.

Electric cars are the future of personal transport. They consume a fraction of the energy of conventional vehicles, and when recharged with electricity generated by either renewable resources or nuclear power their CO2 emissions are genuinely zero.

The Elettrica range of electric cars, designed and manufactured in Europe, consists of two vehicles. The faster and more powerful Li554 has a maximum range of 55 miles and a top speed of 45 mph, while the economy La253 has a range of 25 miles and a top speed of 30 mph*.

The Elettrica Li554, is founded upon the very latest technologies. It is powered by  Lithium-Ion batteries making it light in weight and giving it exceptional acceleration, speed, range and hill climbing performance.

For those who require neither the extended range nor speed of the Elettrica Li554 the La253 is ideal. This uses a traditional lead acid based energy storage system which is ideally suited to those using a vehicle for shorter, local journeys.

Unlike many other electric cars on sale in the UK, safety has not been sacrificed in the design of the Elettrica, indeed optimum passenger safety was a prerequisite of the design. The pictures below show the robust safety cage that surrounds both of the occupants of the Elettrica and the results of some crash tests. Notice how minor the deformation is around the bottom of the A pillar (the pillar that supports the windscreen). The Elettrica is a well designed and properly tested vehicle.
