VAT exemption can be claimed on purchases made by or for individuals who are chronically sick or disabled where the products are for their personal use. The word chronic means enduring or lasting illness. Thus, for instance, a long term sufferer of a condition can claim VAT exemption whereas a sufferer of a broken limb cannot submit such a claim.

VAT exemption can also be claimed by charities, but only where the products purchased are to be made available to an individual meeting the above criteria for their personal use.

Where possible, all products on our website which attract VAT exemption have the price displayed with VAT already deducted.
