Four wheeled scooters are significantly more popular than three wheeled scooters. They are also slightly more stable and slightly less manoeuverable.

Three wheeled scooters are generally used by those riders who require a particularly maneouverable scooter as they are naturally less stable than a four wheeled scooter.
